If a log is separated from a campfire, the fire in the log will quickly go out. The same will occur spiritually. It is important to maintain contact with other, like-minded people who can help you spiritually. Here are a few ways to do this:

In the New Testament, the word church is never used to describe a physical building. The church is a group of believers united for the common purpose of growing closer to God and telling others about the good news that Jesus brought.

Many communities have a variety of churches from which to choose. We suggest the following as a way to locate a church.

As stated in the article, the best place to find a good church is to talk to Christians whom you know and respect. They can help point you in the direction of finding a church that will be a good fit for you. You may also consult the yellow pages or newspaper for a listing of local churches.

There are several web based services that you can use including the following:

• The "Power to Change" database of partnering churches.
• The Willow Creek Association church finder service.
• The Southern Baptist Convention church finder service.
• The "Gospelcom.org" database of churches.

As you read what Jesus said in the Bible, there may be times when something may not make sense or you may have a question you want answered. The best option is to go to someone in your area that you trust and know believes in and follows the principles of the Bible.

If no one comes to mind, you can establish an "on-line" conversation with someone.
